Hope you have a nice spring and it doesn't fall right into hot summer weather. I know you have had a pretty long and cold winter. It was in the upper 80s here over the weekend with a low of 71* last night. Then a cold front moved in and it's only in the mid 70s today, really a beautiful day. It was gloomy and overcast and really humid from last Monday all the way until this morning because of a cold front from the north and warmer southern air battling it out in the Gulf. The gloominess unfortunately reminded me of Ohio so I am glad to see the sun back today. It's almost never that humid here either, sea breezes keep the air moving, even in the middle of summer.

Man did it feel good to turn off the heat this morning! , still might have to use it a little bit, but it'll be nice to not have it running.

Today is one of those absolutely perfect days here in Florida. There isn't a cloud in the sky and it's in the mid 70s. I look forward to my drive home in a few minutes.

I think our weather is almost identical today. Will be a few degrees warmer here probably, but not by much. I hope you folks can enjoy a nice long spring before it goes into that oppresive humid and heavy air of summers up there. It will be in the upper 80s-90s here pretty soon. Even so, I shut the A/C off at night and have the windows open almost all summer. Once the heat of the day is gone there's usually a nice breeze and with a ceiling fan going A/C isn't necessary. My 14 yr old dog would argue to the contrary but he wants it on 24/7 LOL. The second I turn it off, instantly, he starts breathing like a freight train. Inversely, if he is putting up protest and is acting too hot, the second I turn it on he starts breathing normal, before it can have any possible effect. Drama Queen.

Looks like today is gonna be even nicer than yesterday around here, and I have the day off.
Gonna at least try and get out to enjoy a little of it.
Upon further review, I am convinced that I am 100% correct.
Popcicles and warmer temperatures are as good a match to me as an adult as they were when I was a kid
You know that kind of sitting on the porch with your shades on. It's not too hot or too chilly, around 70 ish dgrees. You've got a popcicle and nothing else in the world seems to matter. Always good to see kids enjoying the simple things that make life seem a little sweeter if only for a few minutes.

I understand 100% what you mean Greg. You feel "as one" with the weather, the universe. Such moments make you feel glad just to be alive and able to appreciate it.

Exactly. Kind of like that chillin on the porch or in the park watching the sunset with a cold glass of lemonade or a cold beer as the sun sets. Smell of something on the grill wafting through the air. Maybe a game on or some tunes or just the sound of a lawnmower off in the distance just faint enough to give you the recolection of the smell of a fresh cut lawn.
In my own opinion, parks, picnics and sunsets are highly under-rated and should be done more often. Even if it's just take out from a restaurant.
Those picnic tables in the park aren't there as decorations. Luckily, we have a lot of nice parks in the greater cincinnati area.
I'm sure you can do the same thing on the beach down where you are GL.
There is something very reaxing and contenting (if that's a word) about a sunset.
One of the best places to watch around here is the observation deck at woodland mound.
